Greetings, I’m Christion Billy, an alumna of Howard University hailing from the sunny city of Hayward, California. I specialize in communication, journalism, and graphic design.
My journey at Howard University was a vibrant exploration of the worlds of communication and design. While I may not have been born and raised on the East Coast, I found a home at Howard.

Within the Cathy Hughes School of Communications, I’ve embraced the opportunity to immerse myself in the world of journalism. As a proud member of the Howard University Association of Black Journalists (HUABJ), the Ida B. Wells Society, Lambda Pi Eta, and HU News Service. I’ve been able to connect with like-minded peers who share my passion for storytelling and social change.
Beyond my academic pursuits, I’m a Californian at heart, and I currently plan to give back to my community. Volunteering has always been a cornerstone of my life, and it’s a privilege to give back to my community. In South Hayward, I’ve devoted my time to local food banks and churches, aiding those in need. These experiences have not only strengthened my commitment to community service but also deepened my understanding of the power of communication to make a positive impact.
In sharing this piece of my story, I hope to convey the essence of who I am, not just as a journalist but as a young person passionate about making a difference through communication and design. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. Please feel free to explore the rest of my website to learn more about my work and projects.
