Week 9 Internship Diary: March 31 – April 4

Almost at the finish line. Some of my tasks from the previous week rolled over to this week. Last week, I was tasked with creating graphics for the PSA and calling Black churches. When Mr. Sikes, my supervisor, and I met on Monday, he asked me to comment on my design and what I changed compared to Alfredo Rivera’s, the graphic artist for Bajari LLC’s design. The primary thing I changed was the blue graduation to a fade.

There was not that much of an update on contacting black churches this week. I left many voicemails. Big Bethel AME in Atlanta, GA, was the only church that got back to me this week. After completing most of my tasks for the week, Mr. Sikes asked me to write a small message to all the black churches confirming their email addresses. He informed me that he wanted to create a small cartoon for social media ads, so I was assigned to research what makes a great and lousy ad. I will present the research to him with a few examples and create a storyboard from there. We plan on sending out the PSA on Wednesday.
