Chats with Chris (season finale)

Hello, welcome to the season finale of Chats with Chris. Today, I will reflect on my visual journalism journey, such as my favorite class moments, favorite and hated projects, and some skills I have gained.

My journey as a journalist in this course has taught me to be comfortable with the uncomfortable. Before this course, I preferred to avoid being on camera or using my voice because of how the final product would look. I’m still not as comfortable in front of the camera, but I could slowly feel my comfort level increasing.

The projects produced within this class have taught me many things about myself, such as that I feel more confident telling other people’s stories than I do with mine. Additionally, the skills I have gained have increased my confidence in my abilities. I’m confident in audio editing and video production, plus video editing.

This course has also taught me how to tell a story visually. I can create sound slides, vlogs, and news roundups. I walked into this class with a mindset of I can’t, and I don’t; I will walk out of this class with a mindset of I can and I will. In conclusion, take a look at the season finale of Chats with Chris. I hope you enjoy it!
